ESNE's Fall-Winter 2022/2023 collection is rooted in borders, understood as the division between the physical and the ethereal; In this way, the students of the Degree in Fashion Design have devised and made a collection that gives rise to discourses linked to body problems, self-esteem and the canons of beauty established in society.

“Utopia is a physical or metaphorical island, always difficult to access. An impossible strait separates us from it, a jungle and impregnable mountains, walls built by titans. Utopia must be protected because what is characteristic of the human being is destruction, and utopia generates the desire to crush it like an anthill under the boots of a child. How dare they be happy? Who have believed themselves to try to escape the logic of exploitation, of inquisitions, of nothing revolutionary taxes?

Those who live in utopia must take care of those who come from abroad: the ships that arrive at Anarres are rigorously monitored and traffic with other planets is kept to a minimum; those who sail to New Atlantis must first be questioned and then quarantined; and the peaceful Amazons of Her-Land know the threat posed by the arrival of foreigners, especially if they are men: they sense that men cannot bear the self-sufficiency of this society of women; instead of admiring it, they prefer to tear it down.”
